Safaricom Home Fibre is no longer unlimited with the introduction of Fair Usage Policy that will slow down your internet

Safaricom is introducing a new caveat on their Home Fiber internet packages.  “FAIR USAGE POLICY“, means that Home Fibre is no longer unlimited. 

This limits and throttle speeds as indicated in the table below. When you reach the Fair Usage limit for the package, the speeds will be throttled to 1Mbps for Bronze plans and 3Mbps for Silver, Gold, and Diamond plans for the remainder of the validity period of the subscription.

 

 

Here are the new prices and the data caps after which speeds will be slowed down significantly:

Also, new customers will be required to pay KES 3000 for installation services, which include the router. Previously, the installation, cabling and equipment was free. 

 

 

How to Get  Safaricom Home Fiber Connection

To get connected  to the service, Simply dial *400# and select the “Get Safaricom Home Fibre” and follow the simple steps.

You will then get a call back from Safaricom within 48 hours. The Safaricom team will create an account for you and you will  be advised to make payment to your account.  Your  connection will be set up within 48 hours after payment.
