An elderly couple that lives in the posh home were arrested and taken to custody. After their arrest, the private developer started fencing part of the land.
A lady who spoke to Boniface Mwangi told him that she has lived there since she was born. ”I have lived here all my life. Some people came with the police and started claiming ownership of the property. I don’t know what is happening,” the 27-year-old lady said and urged law enforcers to intervene.
Mwangi filmed the private developer fencing part of the land and condemned the daylight landgrabbing. He advised Kenyans to always advocate for good governance, adding that bad governance affects both rich and poor.
Sharing the video Twitter, Mwangi wrote,” You’re chilling in your house, the police come and arrest your elderly parents, and then a private developer moves in, and fences part of your family home. That happened today in Lavington. the family want to know what’s going on. Kenya Yetu!
