Breaking news – Sunday night fire guts down Ngara Market, Nairobi

A huge fire has been reported at the lower side of Ngara Market in Nairobi. 

According to photos and videos shot at the scene, billows of smoke could be seen invading the sky from more than a kilometre away. 

The smoke filled the air as residents tried to put out the flames before the emergency services arrived. 

At the time of this reporting, the cause of the inferno was yet to be established.

The fire has reportedly destroyed property valued to be worth millions of shillings.

This comes just months after another huge fire razed down Gikomba Market, Nairobi. 

First responders rushed to the scene to help put out the inferno and prevent it from spreading to the nearby areas.
