How to raise money using M-changa

Step 1. Register

Choose a platform: Either Online at Start a Fundraiser, or dial *483*57# from your phone and follow the instructions.

Verify your fundraiser: Via Facebook, Email or SMS depending on the platform you have chosen.

Activate: Send KES 10 to your own fundraiser to activate it.

Customize (online only): Tell the world why you are fundraising and why they should contribute through a powerful story, engaging pictures/videos and realistic goals.

Add documents: Upload your ID and Supporting Documents to the web portal or email support@changa.co.ke to verify your fundraiser e.g. medical certificate.

Step 2. Share

Online: Easily share your fundraiser via our social network integrations.

Direct: Use Face-To-Face, WhatsApp Groups, Phone Calls, SMS etc. to invite friends and family to contribute via your Sharepage & Payment instructions.

Step 3. Collect

Mobile payments: Accept payments directly via M-Pesa PayBill, Airtel Money and Equitel, simply share the payment instructions found on your Sharepage.

Online payments: Accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, PayPal & SimbaPay, simply direct people to select their preferred channel via your Sharepage.

Withdraw: Choose between EFT transfer or mobile money. You may withdraw your funds at any time provided your balance exceeds KES 250.00. You may continue fundraising after you have withdrawn.
