Here is the process in simple steps:

1. Intimate Relations: During intercourse, a man ejaculates millions of sperm cells into the woman’s body. Yes that’s a lot of sperm, and yes you could impregnate a lot of people with that .

2. Sperm Travel: The sperm cells navigate through the cervix and enter the uterus, starting their journey towards the egg. The cervix has these special comb like structures that help move the sperm along.

3. Fertilization: Only one sperm cell successfully penetrates the egg’s protective layer, leading to the formation of a single cell called a zygote. Contrary to popular belief it’s not always the first one that wins .

4. Genetic Fusion: The zygote contains genetic material from both the mother and the father, combining their traits. Thanks for the receding hairline!

5. Cell Division: The zygote undergoes multiple cell divisions, rapidly developing into an embryo.

6. Fallopian Tube Travel: The embryo travels down the fallopian tube toward the uterus, continuing its transformation.

7. Implantation: The embryo attaches itself to the uterine wall and begins to receive nutrients from the mother’s body.

8. Embryonic Growth: As weeks pass, the embryo develops different body structures and organs.

9. Fetal Development: The embryo becomes a fetus, growing in size and complexity.

10. Maturation: Approximately nine months later, the fetus is fully mature and ready to be born.

11. Birth: This journey then culminates in the birth of a baby, a new life with endless potential ready to leave their mark on the world.
